Production Artist (Calgary - Contract)

Role:
As Production Artist, the successful applicant will be responsible for the construction of print ready electronic files for a wide variety of projects.
Skills:
- Expected to have an understanding of design principles and 4 color printing;
- Working with conceptual ideas or from a rough layout you will be expected to create a final print ready file;
- Strong working knowledge and experience with Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop;
- Experience with QUARK would be an asset.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
Detailed Duties Description:
- Take direction from senior creative staff and bring design ideas to projects where appropriate;
- Develop layouts and assemble final artwork;
- Help maintain CD catalog library, stock images and asset management system;
- Preflight, disk and upload files for print production;
