Digital Project Manager (Calgary)

As our Digital Project Manager, you will be part of a team committed to delivering exceptional digital services to our clients.


LPi Group is a Creative Engagement Agency, delivering marketing and communications services through the collaboration of over 30 staff in offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto.  Since 1990 LPi Group has delivered quality-marketing services across Canada and throughout the US and includes some of the most trusted brands and services in the world.


The Digital Project Manager is responsible for collaborating with five key stakeholders (our clients, creative department, account teams, outside vendors and agency management staff) in the planning, scheduling and execution of Digital projects.  The Digital Project Manager is responsible for meeting client expectations, project profitability, delivery of quality service and management of teams schedules and resource allocation within the digital team.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Negotiate, define, communicate and manage LPi digital projects to achieve positive results
  • Foster relationships with Account Directors and Account Managers across the agency
  • Provide ongoing status and progress to Digital Director
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of the scope of projects, prioritize work and manage resources to meet strategic, time and financial objectives
  • Create and effectively execute project schedules to achieve established deliverables
  • Establish clear project parameters, with support from the Digital Director, which support the success of all internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks ahead of time
  • Forecast, track and manage project budgets, POs, and invoices
  • Implement and monitor quality standards on all project deliverables
  • Utilize appropriate resources to meet project needs
  • Manage client, third party vendor and internal team performance as appropriate
  • Maintain high standards of professional integrity on all proposed and actual client business solutions
  • Ensure all digital work is conceptually powerful, strategically on target and maintains a standard of excellence across multiple mediums, with the support of the digital team, and Director.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met – internally and externally.
  • Make decisions on a daily basis that ensure both profitability and quality.


Key Skills & Attributes

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years managing digital projects including microsites, full scale websites, online applications, integrations of 3rd party applications.
  • Proven experience managing simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: business, marketing, communications, e-business engineering or computer science.
  • Working knowledge of Agile Project Management processes within a digital environment
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to interface effectively with staff at all levels, clients, agency leadership and external influencers in the digital/marketing/application arena
  • The position requires a strong understanding of technical aspects of Digital marketing principles, web site development, application design, usability & user experience, online advertising, social media, mobile and e-mail campaigns
  • Able to understand technical, artistic and design issues, and clearly distill and communicate issues to key stakeholders

  • Experience in negotiating, brainstorming and strategic planning and execution of digital projects
  • Excellent written communication, time management and presentation skills

Director, Finance (Calgary)

As part of the senior management team, the Director, Finance will be responsible for the development and management of the financial reporting for the business.

Summary:  As part of the senior management team, the Director, Finance is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations.  The Director, Finance provides leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee accounting policies and procedures to meet both current and future business needs.
  • Ensure financial management reporting processes are in place to support the ongoing and future needs of the business.
  • Provide regular (monthly, quarterly, and year to date) reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required in order to assess profitability and performance
  • Lead the annual business plan development and budgeting process.

  • Manage ongoing banking relationships for maximum efficiency.
  • Oversee the cash management function including cash flow forecasting and maintaining a long-term cash forecast.
  • Responsible for the management of the agency’s insurance and risk management program including annual insurance renewal process.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger (G/L) and maintain integrity of financial statements.
  • Account Payable, Accounts Receivable and collections management, including review of monthly billings to clients.
  • In-house operating system administration (Clients & Profits) and main contact with software provider/support
  • Provide leadership and direction to Accounting / Administrative Assistant role
  • Manage Human Resources: Payroll, benefits, pension, on boarding new employees etc.
  • Oversee office facilities and administration needs

Key Skills & Attributes

  • A CMA or CGA designation with post secondary education in Finance and/or Accounting
  • 10+ years operational finance / accounting experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft excel
  • Experience/familiarity with SQL data management is an asset
  • Ability to take initiative and continuously improve business models and processes
  • In-depth financial and technical knowledge required, with strong analytical agility
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
